2025/26 FUFA Big League Fixtures Released

Introduction

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has officially released the fixtures for the 2025/26 FUFA Big League season. The competition, which is Uganda’s second tier of football, will kick off on Sunday, September 28, 2025, promising another season full of drama, rivalries, and the battle for promotion into the Uganda Premier League.

Matchday 1 Fixtures – September 28, 2025

  • Paidha Black Angels SC vs Nebbi Central FC – Bar Okoro Stadium, Zombo
  • Blacks Power FC vs Onduparaka FC – Ebenezer University Playground, Lira
  • Ntugasaze FC vs Kiyinda Boys FC – Mityana Ssaza Ground
  • CATDA FC vs Kigezi Homeboyz FC – Bugolobi Coffee Grounds
  • Iganga United FC vs Mbale Heroes FC – Iganga Ssaza Grounds
  • Wakiso Giants FC vs Young Elephant FC – Wakisha Recreation Ground
  • Kaaro Karungi FC vs Bunyaruguru United FC – Kyamate Play Ground, Ntungamo

Key Highlights of the Season

  • Season Duration: The first round will run until January 11, 2026. The second round will commence on February 22, 2026.
  • Promotion Rules: The top two clubs at the end of the season will earn automatic promotion to the Uganda Premier League. The third-placed side will face a play-off to fight for promotion.
  • Venues: Matches will be spread across iconic grounds, including Bar Okoro Stadium (Zombo), Iganga Ssaza Grounds, Mbale City Stadium, Wakisha Recreation Ground, and more.
  • Regional Rivalries: Western Uganda, Northern Uganda, and Central Uganda all have strong representation, ensuring intense derbies and fan-packed stadiums.
